Yungaburra can be accessed from the coast by 3 roads; from Innisfail by the Palmerston hwy; from Cairns via Gordonvale by the Gillies hwy; from Cairns via Mareeba by the Kennedy hwy. The shortest route from Cairns is the Gillies Hwy, however its' 200 corners are not suited to those subject to travel sickness.
